Garthwick, a small and quaint neighborhood in SE Portland, Oregon, is still one of the region's best little secrets and adored little gems. Not widely known, it has a distinctive place in the history of Portland. As other iconically historic neighborhoods, it is well preserved and loved for the historic character you can find here: the canopied streets and lamp posts, beautiful gardens, and well loved homes that retain their original design integrity. A significant portion of the homes having been built in the early twentieth-century, its early envisioned character remains intact. This small but distinctive neighborhood is a place of beauty for those that live here, friends who come to visit, walkers, cyclists and other visitors from throughout the city who come to breathe in a sense of peace, fresh air, and tranquility.
